Welcome Bloomfield Robotics Families! This is the first of our regular newsletters, providing parents, coaches and mentors updated information for each Robotics season. This email list will be the BEST way for you to receive robotics communication. If you know any other Bloomfield family who may be interested, please forward this email or share this Email List Form with them.
Between now and May, we will be updating you on robotics events happening around our community, highlights from this past season and information on how to register your student for the Fall 2023 season!
While you will still see Patty Murray and Sarah Piper around, we’d like to introduce ourselves as the new Bloomfield K-8 Robotics volunteer coordinators.
Amanda Pullukat and Brynn Stevenson will be working with FLL Explore (2nd-3rd grades) & FLL Challenge (4th-5th grades) teams this year. Amanda’s middle son is a sophomore on the high school robotics team and has been involved in FIRST for 8 years. Amanda heads up the media team for the Bionic Black Hawks. Brynn is a mom of two FLL robotics fanatics and she and her husband will be coaching both an FLL Challenge and FLL Explore team in the fall!
Mihaela Cobb will be heading up FTC. She is a seasoned FIRST parent of 2. Both of her boys will be on the high school team next year. Mihaela has been a coach and/or judge for the last 7 years. In addition, she coordinates all the meals and travel for the Bionic Black Hawks.
We will be working hard to provide all robotics families with the most up-to-date information so you don’t miss a thing. We really need your help as well. As you know, teams cannot be formed without volunteer coaches. If you’re wondering how you can be a robotics volunteer, have no fear! Take it from a fashion designer, a preschool owner and a director at a law firm– anyone can do it! We plan to have coach meetings & training, and of course, the three of us are always here to help. Email us at info@bloomfieldrobotics.com if you can help!
