Why Sponsor Us?
Each year, students on the Bloomfield Hills High School’s robotics team, Bionic Black Hawks, participate in FRC (FIRST Robotics Challenge). In just 6 weeks, they strategize, design, and build a robot. Then they compete at regional, state, and world championship levels for points in the game while also vying for awards in design, safety, engineering, and community impact.
It is our mission to inspire our community and our students. However, this program is very expensive. Robot parts and team management costs run in the tens of thousands. With your support, we can continue to foster the engineers and leaders of tomorrow!
Learn, Serve, Grow
Putting our team motto into action…
Mentoring
Our FRC students instruct robotics summer camps and mentor teams in FTC (grades 6–8) and FLL (grades 4–5).
Community
We host several FIRST events, such as the Bloomfield Girls Robotics Competition, fund raise to provide holiday gifts for children in foster care, and mentor Durfee Elementary-Middle School’s team, The Robotic Bulldogs, in Detroit.
Advocacy
Our team is committed to advocating for FIRST at the local, state, national, and international levels. We also focus on encouraging girls and women to participate in STEM/STEAM.
All checks must be made out to Bloomfield Hills Robotics with ‘TEAM 2834’ and the student name in the memo line and mailed to 5026 Kellen Lane, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302, or handed to the Sponsorship Mentor at the shop.
