The Bionic Black Hawks, Team 2834, became a Hall of Fame Robotics Team when the team won the Chairman’s Award (now the Impact Award) at the 2018 Detroit FIRST World Championship. Team 2834 racked up over 1,000 mentor hours in 2017 alone whilst mentoring 14 FLL teams and 8 FTC teams.
The FIRST Impact Award (previously the Chairman’s Award) is the most prestigious award in FIRST Robotics Competition. The award recognizes a team that reflects sustained excellence and impact within the FIRST community, in its own community, and beyond. These teams act as ambassadors by sharing their legacy as Hall of Fame members. They serve as role models and resources for other teams while educating the public in support of the FIRST mission. More information can be found on the First Hall of Fame and FIRST previous award winners.
